Installation Guide
Congratulations on your purchase of Ateliermaxx curtains! Follow these instructions to hang your curtains easily and correctly.
This guide covers the installation of pleated curtains, eyelet curtains and wave curtains.
Materials required
- Tape measure
- Curtain
- Hook (included)
- Pen and paper or phone/note app
- Chair, folding step or ladder
Installation of pleated curtains
Step 1: Insert gliders into the rail
- Check how many hooks are attached to the curtain.
- Insert exactly the same number of gliders into the curtain track.
- Make sure the gliders can move easily in the rail.
Step 2: Check the hook height
- The hooks are already attached to the pleats. Check that all hooks are set at the same height so the curtain hangs neatly and straight. If necessary, you can carefully readjust the hooks.
Step 3: Hang the curtain on the rail
- Start at one end of the curtain and hang the hooks one after the other into the gliders of the rail.
- Make sure the curtain is evenly distributed and the folds form nicely.
Step 4: Final inspection & fine-tuning
- Pull the curtain open and closed several times to make sure it moves easily.
- Smooth out the pleat fall with your hand so that the fabric falls evenly.
- IMPORTANT: Your curtain may have slight wrinkles due to shipping. Simply wait a few days for them to disappear, or spray some water or steam on them to achieve a smooth appearance more quickly.
Installation of wave curtains
Step 1: Attaching the hooks to the wave glider
- Insert the included wave gliders into the curtain rail.
- Make sure the gliders can move easily in the rail.
Step 2: Hanging the curtain
- The hooks are already attached to the wave folds of the curtain.
- Hang the hooks one by one into the gliders of the rail.
- Be careful not to skip any gliders as this would affect the wave structure.
Step 3: Forming the wave structure
- The typical wave fold is created by pulling the fabric slightly forward between the gliders .
- Each section between two gliders should form a forward-wave bend , while the hook areas fall backward.
- If necessary, adjust the distribution of the folds by hand to create a perfect wave.
Installation of eyelet curtains
Step 1: Pull the curtain onto the rod
- Start with the first eyelet at the outer end of the pole (behind the end cap).
- Slide the eyelets one by one over the rod.
- Make sure the folds fall evenly and the fabric is not twisted.
Step 2: Place the rod into the brackets
- Insert the curtain rod into the brackets and check that it is secure.
- Check that the curtain hangs evenly and moves easily.
